Chest pain when bending over may be caused by pleurisy, costochondritis, thoracic vertebral osteophytes and so on.
1. Pleurisy: pleurisy is due to a variety of reasons that lead to inflammation of the pleura, prolonged stimulation of the local soft tissues, resulting in chest pain symptoms, especially when bending over, the pain will be aggravated.
2. Costochondritis: the infection of the rib cartilage in the chest of the patient will easily lead to inflammation of the rib cartilage, which will cause the patient’s chest pain and swelling, especially when the activity will aggravate the pain.
3. Thoracic spondylolisthesis: if the patient has degenerative lesions in the bones and joints around the thoracic spine, it is easy to induce thoracic spondylolisthesis, which squeezes the nerves after the activity and makes the patient feel chest pain when bending over.
