There are many reasons for intermittent throbbing pain in the external auditory meatus, the common ones are physiological factors, bacterial infection, tumors and so on.

2. 3. Tumor: such as adenoid cystic carcinoma, some patients may have pain at the onset of the disease, and the pain is intermittent or persistent, often spreading along the nerves, and the external auricle is radioactive pain.
