Femoral head necrosis can be diagnosed by X-rays, CT and MRI. In fact, the diagnosis of femoral head necrosis is most obvious at the earliest stage by MRI, which can show hypointense shadow on MRI, indicating that there is already ischemic necrosis of the femoral head.
