Acne vulgaris usually often manifests itself as a variety of lesions such as pimples, papules, cysts, nodules, etc., but one type of lesion is predominant.
1. Pimples: Depending on whether they are open or not, they can be categorized into whiteheads and blackheads, which can be extruded as white tofu dregs-like substances, and are early in the development of acne.
2. Papules: If the infection is aggravated, inflammatory papules can be formed, manifested as red papules, often accompanied by pain, and may have small pustules at the top.
3. Nodules: If the papules are left untreated and the inflammation worsens, nodules may form, which are hard and have hard knots when touched.
4. Cysts: often present as soft subcutaneous swellings 2-3cm in size.
Acne vulgaris can occur simultaneously with multiple types of lesions depending on the severity. If you suffer from acne, it is recommended that you consult a doctor promptly to avoid aggravation of the disease.
