Occupation of the left hepatic lobe with elevated carcinoembryonic antigen and Ca-199 does not exclude the presence of a malignant tumor of the liver. Carcinoembryonic antigen and Ca-199 are both tumor markers: 1. Carcinoembryonic antigen can be seen in many kinds of malignant tumors in clinic, and it can also be shown to be increased in benign tumors or inflammatory lesions, which can be seen in colorectal cancer, gastric cancer, pancreatic cancer, small-cell lung cancer, hepatocellular carcinoma and so on. 2. Ca-199 can be seen in pancreatic cancer, colon cancer, etc. This index is a specific tumor marker for pancreatic cancer, and it may also be increased in pancreatic inflammation, cirrhosis, diabetes mellitus and digestive tract tumors. When liver metastasis is found and tumor markers are increased at the same time, the diagnosis of primary or metastatic tumor in liver is considered possible, and further imaging examination and other blood tests are needed to make a clear diagnosis. It is recommended to consult the Department of Hepatobiliary Surgery of a regular hospital as soon as possible, so that the diagnosis can be clarified and the patient can be treated actively.
