Causes of Oral Polyps

Oral polyps are considered to be caused by inflammation, physical stimulation, tumor factors and so on. 1. Inflammation: a common cause of polyps in the mouth is localized inflammation in the oral cavity, especially polyps around the gums, which is an inflammatory response to bacterial stimulation of the surrounding soft tissues. After the inflammatory reaction occurs, white blood cells as well as the immune system will be activated to fight with these bacteria, resulting in a localized immune response, stimulating cell growth, and thus growing polyps. 2. Physical stimulation: If the mouth is repeatedly stimulated by physical stimulation, such as burns, needles, crowns, roots, etc., the mucous membrane may develop cellular degeneration, triggering hyperplasia, which will gradually develop into polyps. 3. Tumor factor: If there is a tumor factor in the oral cavity, it will lead to hyperplasia of the connective tissue of the oral mucosa, which will lead to polyps in the mouth. Patients with oral polyps are advised to go to the hospital in time for consultation, after the cause of the disease is clear, under the guidance of the doctor for reasonable medication and standardized treatment, daily oral hygiene, avoid eating stimulating food, such as chili peppers, peppers, pepper, and so on.
