What hemorrhoids look like in women

In women, if hemorrhoids form, they can form small soft masses in the anus, which can be hard and painful when edema occurs or when there is a blood clot formation. In the case of internal hemorrhoids, the blood in the stool is mainly bright red in color, and further aggravation of the hemorrhoids can have protrusion outside the anus, causing dampness, swelling and foreign body sensation in the anus. The formation of hemorrhoids is influenced by constipation, poor lifestyle habits, as well as increased pelvic pressure during pregnancy, prolonged sitting and standing, and prolonged squatting on the toilet, etc. Women are also at high risk for hemorrhoids. If hemorrhoids form and become symptomatic, they should be treated early, mainly with local medication. The main purpose of medication is to improve symptoms, and when medication does not work well, surgical treatment can be considered.
