Is a tumor cancer?

Tumor is not necessarily cancer, but cancer belongs to one kind of tumor. Tumors are new organisms formed by proliferation and abnormal differentiation of body cells under the long-term synergistic action of various factors, which are not subject to normal physiological regulation of the body and will destroy normal tissues and organs. According to the biological behavior of tumors, they can be classified as benign, malignant, and junctional tumors between the two malignant tumors. General tumors are not necessarily cancerous, while malignant tumors originated from epithelial tissues are cancerous. If benign tumors are small in size and do not affect the physiological function of normal tissues, regular review and observation will be sufficient; malignant tumors need timely treatment to avoid endangering the patient’s life, and generally can be treated with surgical resection, radiotherapy, chemotherapy and other treatments. If there is a tumor in the examination, it is recommended to further consult the doctor to clarify the nature of the tumor and then treat it in time.
