Invasive carcinoma usually ranges from 1 cm to 7 cm, and some patients will be bigger. Invasive carcinoma is mainly with infiltrative growth, after exceeding the epithelial basement membrane, it will gradually start to grow in to the deeper layer of basement membrane, the specific size is not completely fixed, it needs to be combined with the type of tumor and staging to determine, and most of the patients are in the range of 1-7 centimeters, and the earlier the tumor volume, the smaller the tumor volume will be. If the patient is in advanced stage, the volume of invasive cancer is larger, and some patients can even reach tens of centimeters, accompanied by lymph nodes, distal organs metastasis, etc., which misses the optimal time for surgery, and can only be treated with radiotherapy and chemotherapy to prolong the survival time.
