What’s wrong with a cold headache?

The presence of headache and chills may be fever. First, we should take the body temperature, which is generally called fever if it exceeds 37.3°C. When fever occurs, the specific cause should be analyzed and the appropriate etiological treatment should be carried out, which may be bacterial infection or viral infection. Bacterial infections are mainly treated with antibacterial therapy, while viral infections are mainly treated with antiviral therapy and treatment of the primary disease. Common diseases for bacterial infections are tonsillitis, lung infections, urinary tract infections, and intestinal infections, while common diseases for viral infections are upper respiratory tract infections, encephalitis, and enteritis. If the body temperature exceeds 38.5℃, it is recommended to apply antipyretic drugs, such as lysergic acid and Chaihu injection, which are commonly used.
