What does the k1 injection do

Vitamin K1 mainly plays a role in blood clotting. There are two main ways to clot blood in the body, one is exogenous clotting and the other is endogenous clotting. For endogenous coagulation, there are many coagulation factors, one of which is vitamin K1, which is the more critical key factor to promote endogenous coagulation. For gastrointestinal bleeding, especially in patients with cirrhosis who have gastrointestinal bleeding, vitamin K1 needs to be given intravenous push, which can effectively promote blood clotting and reduce bleeding, thus achieving clinical hemostasis. Vitamin K1 acts as a key factor for endogenous coagulation. If it is for other gastrointestinal bleeding, other hemostatic drugs such as phenolsulfonamide and aminolevulinic acid can be given appropriately. Vitamin K1 is relatively effective mainly for large gastrointestinal bleeding or bleeding from large blood vessels.
