How long can endometrial cancer live?

Endometrial cancer is a malignant tumor. There is no definite answer as to how long one can live after suffering from endometrial cancer. It is related to many factors, such as the surgical pathological stage of the tumor, histological type, tumor grade, depth of myometrial infiltration, lymph node metastasis and extra-uterine metastasis, patient’s physical quality, whether treatment is taken or not, patient’s psychological state, environmental factors, etc. Some women with endometrial cancer can survive up to 5 years or even longer through active treatment. However, some women with endometrial cancer have a negative and pessimistic attitude and do not take treatment, so their survival time may only be a few months. Therefore, there are clear individual differences in how long endometrial cancer can live. If endometrial cancer is detected in early stage, a total hysterectomy can be performed to prevent the cancer cells from spreading, and further chemotherapy and radiotherapy can be given after the surgery if necessary, which can greatly increase the survival time of patients. However, some people are already in advanced stage when endometrial cancer is detected, so even if surgery is performed at this time, it will accelerate the spread of cancer cells and the survival of the patient, so these patients may not be suitable for surgery and doctors will adopt radiotherapy or chemotherapy to treat them. Therefore, how long endometrial cancer can live has a lot to do with the time of detection. The patient’s state of mind is also a key factor to determine how long endometrial cancer can live. Therefore, women with endometrial cancer should not think about how long they can live, but should maintain an optimistic attitude, treat actively and live well every day.
