Vertigo is mainly categorized into vestibular vertigo and non-vestibular vertigo. The main causes of vestibular vertigo are benign positional vertigo, Meniere’s disease, vestibular neuritis, etc. The main causes of non-vestibular vertigo are cardiac pathology and hypertension. 1.Systemic vertigo: (1) Benign positional vertigo: also known as otolithiasis, mainly caused by the shedding of calcium carbonate crystal particles in the ear. (2) Ménière’s disease: caused by a disorder of the lymphatic system of the inner ear resulting in fluid accumulation in the inner ear. (3) Vestibular neuronitis: vertigo caused by damage to vestibular neurons. 2. Non-vestibular vertigo: non-vestibular dizziness can be caused by anemia, hypertension or intracranial inflammation, tumors, cerebrovascular disease, trauma, and in some cases anxiety, depression, or benign migraine vertigo. The specific cause of the disease is recommended to consult a doctor in time, systematic examination and clear diagnosis.
