December 2, 2012 Yongnian County. A sudden onset of abdominal pain in Xiangmou was seen at Yongnian County Hospital, and abdominal aortic aneurysm was considered, and later the whole aorta CTA was checked at the central hospital to confirm the abdominal aortic aneurysm. As we all know, abdominal aortic aneurysm with distance abdominal pain means that the aneurysm is continuing to expand and the chance of rupture is very high, while this patient had distance abdominal pain and huge aneurysm, so he was transferred to our hospital after several times. After hospitalization, the chief physician Dr. Zhao Zhongliang carefully inquired about the medical history and physical examination and analyzed the condition before formulating 2 sets of treatment plans. Because the patient could not afford the cost of expensive stent (about 140,000) for economic reasons, we later developed a well-thought-out open abdominal surgery for treatment. After perfecting all preoperative examinations, with the support and cooperation of hospital leaders and anesthesia department. With the efforts of the vascular surgery team, the operation went very smoothly and the artificial vessel reconstruction was successfully completed. The amount of bleeding during the operation was less than 200ml, and no blood transfusion was treated. After the surgery, he could get out of bed on the 3rd postoperative day. The stitches were removed and discharged from the hospital on the 10th postoperative day. The patient did not have any postoperative complications such as abdominal pain, low back pain, weakness of limbs, deep vein thrombosis, intermittent claudication, etc. The artificial vessel was smooth and in good shape on postoperative follow-up CTA examination. Extended reading: abdominal aortic aneurysm In 1955, the great scientist Albert Einstein died of a ruptured abdominal aortic aneurysm; in 1970, French President Charles de Gaulle died of a ruptured abdominal aortic aneurysm; in 1971, China’s famous geologist Li Siguang died of a ruptured abdominal aortic aneurysm …… abdominal aortic aneurysm, the greatest danger brought about by this disease is Aortic rupture hemorrhage, resulting in the sudden death of the patient. The common causes of abdominal aortic aneurysm are atherosclerosis. The normal abdominal aorta is about 2 cm in diameter and when it expands beyond 3 cm it is called an abdominal aortic aneurysm, the larger the diameter, the higher the risk of rupture, like blowing up a balloon, the bigger the blow up, the greater the possibility of bursting. Thus, the maximum diameter of the abdominal aortic aneurysm is the main parameter that determines whether surgical treatment is needed. Most vascular surgeons in China consider that the threshold of aneurysm diameter that requires surgery in Chinese is 4 cm, or has been combined with concomitant symptoms such as bleeding, abdominal pain or compression. Abdominal aortic aneurysms are the most common aneurysm in the human body, accounting for approximately 86.7% of all aneurysms, and approximately 150,000 people die from abdominal aortic aneurysms each year in the United States. With the improvement of living conditions, lifestyle changes, and an aging population, the number of incidences in China is on a significant rise. Most abdominal aortic aneurysms are asymptomatic and are often unintentionally palpated as pulsating abdominal masses.
