Acne generally refers to acne. The difference between face mites and acne mainly differs in terms of etiology, symptoms, site of onset, and examination.
1. Causes: Facial mites are mainly due to the direct invasion of mites into the skin, or dermatitis reactions caused by contact with mite secretions. Acne, on the other hand, is usually caused by inflammation of the sebaceous glands of the hair follicles.
2. Symptoms: Facial mites are characterized by paroxysmal flushing and persistent erythema, especially in the perinasal area, which is prone to pustules and itching, while acne is characterized by red, raised papules, which may be accompanied by elevated skin temperature and pain.
3. Location: Facial mites tend to occur around the nose, which can easily cause rosacea. Acne, on the other hand, tends to occur in areas where sebaceous glands are more active and can occur on the entire face.
4. Examination: Facial mites can usually be observed under a microscope, while acne can usually be identified with the naked eye.
When face mites or acne appear, it is recommended to go to the hospital for examination and treatment as prescribed by the doctor.
