The maximum life expectancy for grade IV gliomas may be more than five years. Grade IV gliomas are more malignant, tend to recur after surgery, and have an average survival of six months to two years. Gliomas are malignant tumors within the skull, formed by the proliferation of glial cells that undergo genetic mutations. The 5-year survival rate for grade 4 gliomas is about 5.5%, which means that a small percentage of patients can survive for more than 5 years or longer. Usually, gliomas are located in non-vital functional areas, and are resected when the surgical resection is performed in a wider range. Postoperative treatment includes a combination of radiotherapy, immunotherapy, and electric field therapy. For MGMT or IDH1 positive patients, the prognosis is better and the survival period may be prolonged. In terms of diet, we should pay attention to light, eat more vegetables and fruits, less spicy and stimulating food, eat more high protein, high vitamin and easy to digest food, improve the body’s tolerance, promote the wound healing and limb function recovery, keep the bowel movement smooth, under the guidance of professional physicians regular visits to improve the quality of life and prolong the survival period.
