Enlarged lymph nodes in two places on the body are usually categorized into benign lymph node enlargement as well as malignant lymph node enlargement, which can be treated either conservatively or surgically depending on the cause of the disease. 1. Benign lymph node enlargement: (1) Physiologic enlargement: usually related to external stimuli, this type of lymph node enlargement usually does not require special treatment, and will subside on its own when it is far away from the causative factors. (2) Lymphadenitis: mainly caused by bacteria, viruses and other microorganisms. If it is caused by bacterial infection, it can be treated with oral antibiotics such as cefaclor and amoxicillin; if it is caused by viral infection, it should be treated with oral antiviral drugs such as ribavirin and acyclovir. 2. Malignant lymph node enlargement: (1) Lymphoma: mainly refers to some diseases originated from lymphatic system, once diagnosed, radiotherapy (such as vincristine, 5-FU, etc.), immunotherapy (interferon, gammaglobulin, etc.) and bone marrow transplantation should be carried out as soon as possible. (2) Metastatic lymphoma: For example, liver cancer, lung cancer and other malignant tumors will metastasize through lymph nodes in serious cases, resulting in enlarged lymph nodes, and this type of lymphoma needs to control the primary disease first. If you find two enlarged lymph nodes on your body, it is recommended to consult a doctor as soon as possible, complete the examination, make a clear diagnosis and then treat accordingly.
