Does pelvic effusion affect pregnancy?

Whether pelvic effusion can affect pregnancy is mainly related to the condition and cause. In the case of physiological pelvic effusion, the amount of fluid is small and usually does not affect pregnancy. Physiological pelvic effusion with a small amount of fluid often appears when a woman is menstruating or ovulating and can be absorbed on its own without special treatment. However, if the pelvic effusion is caused by pelvic inflammatory disease, pelvic adhesions, gynecological tumor, ectopic pregnancy, ruptured ovarian cyst and other diseases, the amount of effusion is usually large and if not treated in time, it may affect the function of the fallopian tubes or ovaries, and in serious cases, infertility may occur and there may be blood loss and shock. Therefore, once symptoms of abdominal pain, swelling or menstrual disorders occur, you should immediately visit a gynecologist to clarify whether you have pelvic effusion and choose a treatment plan according to the cause. If the pelvic effusion is caused by inflammation, oral anti-inflammatory drugs can be taken and physical therapy can be applied at the same time to promote the absorption of the effusion. During the treatment period, patients should pay attention to rest and review regularly.
