Hongyu Cream belongs to the traditional Chinese medicine formula from He’s Jisheng Lun, which is usually used for the treatment of scrofula and carbuncle, etc. It is recommended that patients follow the doctor’s instructions to standardize the use of medication.
The formula contains a number of Chinese herbs that can clear heat and disperse knots, activate blood circulation and relieve pain by removing blood stasis. Among them, ruexiang is good at relieving heat stored in the liver and stomach; frankincense and myrrh can reduce swelling and relieve pain; castor beans and wood betony can disperse knots and eliminate swelling; angelica can both tonify and activate blood circulation; blood residue can resolve blood stasis, stop bleeding and regenerate muscles.
It can be used to treat breast carbuncle caused by heat in the liver and stomach, stagnation of breast milk, and attack by external evils. It can also be used to treat scrofula (mainly refers to tuberculosis of cervical lymph nodes) caused by emotional disorders, liver qi stagnation (poor transportation of qi and blood in the liver and depression of emotion and mood), or deficiency of yin in the lungs and kidneys, and deficiency of yin and fire.
