What to do when the fetus is in transverse position in the seventh month of pregnancy

The fetal position in the seventh month of pregnancy is transverse, which is a difficult fetal position, and is usually not corrected and reset. The fetus in the seventh month of pregnancy is not yet very large, and there is still room for movement, and the fetal position may still change later, and the fetal position will usually be reviewed again around 32 weeks of pregnancy. For pregnant women in transverse position, they can generally take the knee-chest position appropriately around 30 weeks of pregnancy, but because the fetal position is related to the maternal uterine form and umbilical cord entanglement, so the correction of fetal position cannot be forced. 1.Knee-chest position: generally the transverse fetal position within 30 weeks of gestation can be applied, and pregnant women do it before meals or 2 hours after eating, or in the morning before getting up and going to bed at night. Beforehand, empty the bladder, untie the trouser belt, separate the knees slightly (the same width as the shoulders), kneel on the bed, knee fossa at right angles, chest and shoulders on the bed, head tilted to one side, hands hanging on the sides of the bed or on both sides of the head, forming a high hip and low head position, the greater the difference between the height of the two, so that the fetal head to the maternal diaphragm, to correct the fetal orientation through the change of the center of gravity. It is done twice a day for 15-20 minutes each time, usually for 5-7 days as a course of treatment, with a review after 1 week. Special attention should be paid to the fact that this method should be performed under the guidance of a physician; 2. external rotation of fetal position: it is less used nowadays, mainly for those whose fetal position is not corrected by the above methods, and generally after 30 weeks of gestation, the fetus can be turned upside down by a doctor in the hospital through hand pushing and other actions. Method: You can go to a regular hospital and correct the fetal transverse position with the aid of Chinese medicine moxibustion or laser irradiation. The fetal position is usually confirmed by a review ultrasound at 37 weeks of pregnancy, and if the fetal position cannot be corrected eventually, the delivery method should be decided by hospitalization in advance. For full-term live fetuses with obstetric indications, the pregnancy should be terminated by elective cesarean delivery before delivery. For primigravida combined with transverse position, cesarean delivery is preferred as long as it is a full-term live fetus.
