Lung cancer compression of trachea depends on the specific location of the compression, the degree of compression, whether the lung cancer invades the trachea and whether complete resection can be achieved, and specific imaging examination should be done before deciding the corresponding treatment strategy. If the tumor can be completely resected, compression of the trachea is not an absolute contraindication to surgery, some of them can be operated directly, while others require sleeve resection, which means the middle invaded trachea is removed and the rest of the trachea is anastomosed. Some cannot be operated on directly and will require adjuvant therapy, preoperative chemotherapy or radiation therapy, and then evaluation of the possibility of surgery. In some locally advanced patients, direct surgery may not be possible and direct chemotherapy or radical radiotherapy or chemotherapy will be chosen. For breathing difficulties caused by compression of the atmospheric ducts, bronchoscopic treatment can be considered to improve the patient’s symptoms.
