Bone metastatic tumor patients with low malignancy of the primary tumor, good pathological typing, good physical condition and no comorbidities, the survival time can be up to more than ten years. If the malignancy of the primary tumor is high, the pathological typing is poor, and the physical condition is poor, the survival period is shorter.
If bone metastasis occurs from breast cancer, lung cancer and other primary tumors with less malignant degree and better pathological typing, the survival time can even reach more than ten years after active treatment such as surgical resection and targeted therapy. However, if the malignancy of the primary tumor is high, such as liver cancer, once bone metastasis occurs, the survival time may only be a few months.
Secondly, the survival time of patients with bone metastasis is related to their physical condition and combined diseases, for example, if the patient is old and weak and accompanied by high blood pressure, coronary heart disease and diabetes mellitus, the survival time of the patient will be greatly reduced.
