Interventional embolization for uterine fibroids

Uterine fibroids are often seen clinically with symptoms such as abdominal mass, excessive menstruation, anemia, urinary frequency and urgency, or constipation. Traditional treatment includes total hysterectomy, myomectomy and drug therapy. However, total hysterectomy is not easily accepted by young patients, myomectomy has a high recurrence rate, and the efficacy of drug therapy is not satisfactory. Uterine artery embolization has achieved great success in the treatment of fibroids and has become the treatment of choice for fibroids. Uterine artery embolization can preserve the uterus intact, with minimal trauma and remarkable efficacy.
