How do corns form on your feet?

The formation of corns on the feet is related to the thickening of the stratum corneum induced by long-term pressure and friction. Common causes include prolonged standing or walking, wearing too tight shoes, foot deformities and so on.
1. Prolonged standing or walking: friction causes the stratum corneum to thicken at the site of pressure, and then the thickened stratum corneum is pushed inward due to compression, resulting in the formation of conical corneal plugs.
2. Wearing too tight shoes: too tight shoes will compress the feet and increase the friction between the soles of the feet and the shoes, which will lead to a greater probability of getting corns.
3. Foot deformities: Patients with bunions and mallet fingers have an increased risk of developing corns due to increased contact between certain parts of the foot and the shoe.
The formation of corns on the feet may also be caused by other reasons, if the soles of the feet appear thicker horny layer and walking pain, you should consult a doctor in time to clarify the cause of the disease, so as not to affect the normal life.
