Upper ureteral stone 1.1cm, generally can be used extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy, ureteral rigid mirror lithotripsy lithotripsy, ureteral soft mirror lithotripsy lithotripsy, percutaneous collateral ureteroscopy, laparoscopy or open surgery.
1. Extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy: Extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy is the main method of treating ureteral stones. The success rate of treating ureteral stones is related to the type of lithotriptic machine, the size, composition, and degree of encapsulation of stones by tissues. Different parts of the ureteral stones are handled with different degrees of difficulty, and the rate of stone removal also varies.
2. Ureteral lithotripsy: the indications include ureteral stones in the middle and lower part of the ureter, ureteral stones in the upper part of the ureter after the failure of extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy treatment; “stone street” after extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy; stones complicated by suspected uroepithelial tumors; X-ray-negative ureteral stones; embedded stones with a long retention time, and so on.
3. Ureteral lithotripsy: indications include upper ureteral stones; patients with ureteral distortion, hard mirror can not reach the stone site; extremely obese patients; patients with mild bleeding tendency or can not stop anticoagulant drugs.
4. Percutaneous bypass ureteroscopy: indications include upper ureteral stones; if bypass ureteroscopic lithotripsy, it can treat the whole segment of ureteral stones.
5. Laparoscopic or open surgery: the surgical method can be chosen as laparoscopic surgery or open surgery, and the appropriate method is chosen according to the operator’s experience and medical conditions.
