Principles of treatment: Acute stage: anti-inflammatory, analgesic, incision and drainage, and enhancement of systemic resistance. Local flushing: repeated flushing of pericoronal blind pockets with hydrogen peroxide and saline, and topical application of iodoglycerin to the blind pockets. Rinse mouth and brush teeth. 3. If abscess is formed: incision and drainage Chronic phase: 1. Pericoronal gingival flap removal: teeth with positive position, sufficient eruption position and upper teeth for chewing. 2. Wisdom tooth extraction: teeth in malposition, repeated inflammation, no upper teeth to bite, and no sufficient eruption position.
