Patients suffering from endometriosis generally show significant improvement after childbirth, and even complete cure in milder cases. In patients with endometriosis, the high dose of progesterone can inhibit the proliferation of endometriotic cells during pregnancy, thus inducing their apoptosis and causing the lesions to shrink. Smaller lesions may even subside completely, leading to a cure. For moderate or severe endometriosis, although a cure cannot be achieved after pregnancy and childbirth, the symptoms can be alleviated to a certain extent. Once a patient knows that he/she may suffer from endometriosis, he/she needs to consult a doctor in a timely manner and complete the relevant examinations under the doctor’s guidance before choosing whether or not to have a pregnancy.
