Dizziness, sleepiness and vomiting

The patient’s dizziness, sleepiness, and urge to vomit may be caused by elevated blood pressure. When the blood pressure is severely elevated, it can easily cause hypertensive encephalopathy, which can cause ischemia and hypoxia in the brain. When the cerebellum and brainstem are ischemic and hypoxic, the patient mainly shows dizziness, nausea, vomiting, and can also have balance disorder and ataxia. When severe ischemia and hypoxia are present, it can cause drowsiness and blurred consciousness. The main treatment is to give blood pressure lowering therapy, which can be treated with oral amlodipine, amlodipine besylate, irbesartan, enalapril, and also apply nifedipine extended-release tablets and nifedipine controlled-release tablets. If necessary, it can also be treated by lowering cranial pressure, and mannitol and glycerol fructose are generally applied clinically. Patients with chronic cerebral blood supply deficiency may also experience dizziness, nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, memory impairment, inattention and incoherence, and are mainly given treatment to improve blood circulation and brain metabolism. Drugs to improve blood circulation are applied to shuxin and vincristine; drugs to improve brain metabolism are often applied to olanzapine, piracetam and cytarabine.
