Pharyngeal cancer refers to malignant tumors that originate in the pharynx, mainly including nasopharyngeal cancer, laryngopharyngeal cancer, oropharyngeal cancer and laryngeal cancer.
Usually, pharyngeal cancer mainly includes nasopharyngeal cancer, laryngopharyngeal cancer, oropharyngeal cancer and laryngeal cancer, among which nasopharyngeal cancer occurs in nasopharynx, laryngopharyngeal cancer occurs in the lower part of pharynx, and oropharyngeal cancer occurs in the middle part of pharynx. However, the etiology of the above mentioned diseases is still unclear, and it is mostly considered to be due to a combination of factors such as poor oral hygiene, dental caries, alcohol, and personal factors.
Meanwhile, the disease is a more common malignant tumor of the head and neck, and its incidence rate accounts for about 1%~2% of the whole body tumors in China. And the disease is more likely to occur in the neck lymphatic metastasis, advanced patients can also occur in the liver, lungs, bone and other distant metastases, which will affect the efficacy of treatment. Therefore, patients need to achieve early diagnosis and early treatment to control and stabilize the disease in time, so as to prolong the survival time of patients.
