How to Regulate Lactose Intolerance in Adults

Lactose intolerance is clinically known as lactose intolerance and requires dietary modifications, as well as calcium supplements, etc. There are no special conditioning measures for adult patients.
The main treatment for patients with lactose intolerance is dietary modification. Patients should reduce or limit their intake of products containing lactose, and yogurt, fermented products (e.g., cheese), soymilk, and soy products are better tolerated than regular milk. Pre-hydrolyzed milk is also a good choice.
Patients with lactose intolerance can also take calcium and vitamin D supplements as appropriate, and probiotics and moderate lactase preparations can improve symptoms, but some commercially available lactase preparations may not be effective in some patients at insufficient doses.
If the patient has secondary lactase deficiency, symptomatic treatment should also be directed at the underlying cause. It is recommended that the patient should go to a regular hospital if he/she is not feeling well, and follow the doctor’s instructions for symptomatic treatment.
