We are medical workers, and in school we were taught that we are angels in white, the guardians of life, sentinels on the front lines of life, with the duty of guarding the lives of patients. In the workplace, we also demand this of ourselves and try to practice our sacred oath. However, I don’t know when the doctor-patient relationship and nurse-patient relationship became tense, doctors were stabbed and nurses were beaten frequently, and doctors and nurses began to learn how to defend themselves and protect their skills. Going to work became worrisome and often plagued by insecurity caused by assaults on doctors and nurses. Many people cannot withstand this pressure and have to leave the positions they once held. We have to ask: How did this distorted interpersonal relationship come about? How can we create an environment and atmosphere where patients can feel comfortable and we can work with peace of mind? A few recent events have given me a lot of food for thought and inspiration. Our wound care center, as a window care unit of the outpatient department, has been implementing the concept of quality nursing services advocated by the state and the hospital, implementing the service concept into specific details of nursing services, such as the first consultation responsibility system of nursing makes each nurse one-to-one responsible for receiving and handling patients, being able to dynamically understand changes in patients throughout the wound care process, reporting abnormalities in a timely manner, and implementing the implementation of difficult and complex problems This not only cultivates the nurses’ sense of responsibility, but also improves their professional skills and level, and eliminates patients’ anxiety. For the sake of nursing safety and patient safety, personalized care plans and risk plans and personalized health education prescriptions are formulated for patients with different complex problems of wounds, effective communication is implemented in each nursing session, and discussions and consultations are regularly organized for patients with difficult and complex wounds, which not only strengthens the nurses’ awareness and ability of safe nursing care, but also exercises communication skills and increases patients’ sense of security and trust. It has touched many patients, who have expressed their gratitude in their most simple way. In November 2014, a patient with suspected breast cancer came to the Wound Care Center after a lot of difficulties, and received genuine care and attention from the Wound Care Center nursing team in the midst of extreme despair. “High medical ethics
To express her gratitude, the patient woke up at 5:00 a.m. and made egg cakes for the wound care center. When each of us took the hot egg cake, our eyes were moist. A patient with an unknown diagnosis and suspected cancer got up early in the morning to make egg cakes for the nurses in such a cold winter. We were touched by the patient. In December 2014, a diabetic and gout patient from Xining, Qinghai, with severe foot scald infection secondary to acute renal and heart failure and high fever, accompanied by a nephrologist to treat the wound, the patient was extremely anxious and difficult to treat, after half a month of medical and nursing team cooperation, the patient finally improved and the wound infection was controlled, and on January 9, 2015 the patient’s family sent A banner and a letter of thanks were sent by the patient’s family on January 9, 2015, on which the banner was sincerely written: “The love between fish and water is deep
The military and the people are one heart, saving lives and helping the wounded
The words in the letter of thanks made our hearts rise: “To the family, the doctor is the last psychological pillar, and her words and actions affect the whole family of the patient, it is the service of the nursing center staff led by the head nurse Jiang that relieved our psychological worries and decided to actively cooperate with the treatment. During the treatment process, Nurse Leader Jiang and the entire medical staff of the wound care center always patiently explained, timely communicated with our family members about the condition and treatment plan, and psychologically guided us, the six-hearted family members, to reduce our psychological pressure. I can’t tell you how grateful we are to see our father’s condition improving day by day. I am grateful to each and every one of the medical and nursing staff that we came in contact with during the treatment process. It is because of their silent dedication that my father received good medical treatment and we experienced the good medical style and medical ethics of Nanjing Military General Hospital.” These simple words are the true feelings of the patients and their families, which make us feel that all the hard work and dedication are worthwhile and we are touched by the patients. On January 5 this year, a 92-year-old war veteran cadre with deep burns on his legs was treated ineffectively in a local hospital for several months, and his injuries were getting more and more serious, the old man was suffering from diabetes, heart failure, cerebral infarction and many other diseases, his body was extremely weak, and he was introduced to us from Anhui Province, and we developed and implemented an individualized painless treatment plan according to the characteristics of the old man, and he was close to healing after 3 weeks. They are the real white angels, and their dedication to their work gives people a deep understanding of the true meaning of excellent medicine, virtue, truth-seeking and self-improvement. In today’s society where the doctor-patient relationship is so tense, the Wound Care Center team has built a beacon of love and hope with their wholehearted efforts and dedication, building a bridge between doctors and patients.” This is both gratitude and more like hope, and we are moved to think about it. Every society has different ways of thinking and dealing with problems, but one thing is common: human beings are animals with feelings. If doctors and patients, nurses and patients between more true feelings, more warmth, with sincere and genuine feelings to touch each other, then, between people have a sense of mutual trust, the current tension between doctors and nurses and patients will become harmonious and harmonious?
What is “love”? This also makes me understand more deeply the purpose of the “mutual trust between doctors and patients” series jointly organized by Nanjing Hospital Association and Nanjing Radio and Television Group in 2014.
The purpose of the “Service Improvement” series of activities is to promote the genuine service of medical and nursing staff, and I was honored to be selected as a “genuine medical worker”. I know this is just the beginning.
