With the deepening of research on rare diseases, people are becoming more and more familiar with Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD), and the age of diagnosis is getting younger and younger, even just a few months after birth, due to the obvious elevation of aminotransferase and creatine kinase, and then clearly diagnosed by genetic testing, and the early intervention treatment of DMD has been put on the agenda. In modern medicine, hormone therapy is the main treatment for DMD, but it is mostly used after the age of 4 or 5 years, and is not recommended for infants and children under the age of 4 years. The application of traditional Chinese medicine soup and preparation is difficult for infants and children to accept in terms of taste, and it is very difficult to take the medicine, so the early intervention treatment for infants and children is currently in a state of no medicine available. The theory of Chinese medicine is that hereditary diseases are related to congenital insufficiency, and the onset of Duchenne muscular dystrophy, congenital insufficiency, acquired loss of nourishment is the root of the disease, the deficiency of odd meridians and collaterals is the key to the development of stagnation of collaterals and collaterals or even collaterals into the accumulation of the disease is an important factor in the development of this disease, in order to support the Yuan to start the impotence of the Chinese medicine preparations and identification of the types of the treatment of the disease, can receive good results. However, due to the imperfect physical development of infants and young children and the difficulty in taking medication, infants and young children can not directly apply the existing preparations and hormone therapy. Infants and young children have a special physique, which is “childish yin and childish yang”, and “the spleen is always insufficient”, so there must be a suitable therapeutic drug for infants and young children. According to the physique of infants and young children and combined with the pathogenesis of DMD in traditional Chinese medicine, we have developed three cream formulas for early intervention: Formula 1 is Yiyuan Nourishing and Rongming Cream, which mainly regulates the innate qi and blood to support the impotence of yuanyuan; Formula 2 is Ziyin Peiyu PuiTu Cream, which mainly nourishes the yin essence of the spleen and stomach to nourish and nourish muscles; Formula 3 is Elimination of Accumulation and Spleen Paste, which mainly strengthens the spleen and eliminates food and enhances the vitality of the qi and energy. These three formulas are suitable for infants and young children aged 1-4 years old with no symptoms or mild symptoms, the taste and medication are in line with the identification and constitution of infants and young children, but need to be used by the doctor to identify the symptoms, and are also suitable for breastfeeding mothers, not only to regulate the mother’s body, but also to improve the body of DMD infants through the consumption of breast milk. DMD boys usually start to show symptoms at the age of 3-5 years old, however, the age of diagnosis of DMD has been advanced to infancy, so early diagnosis and early intervention to delay the age of onset of symptoms of DMD children is very helpful to delay the age of onset and prognosis of DMD children.
