Will depressed people get better if they think more openly?

There are many treatments for depression, such as psychotherapy, sleep deprivation therapy, phototherapy and electroconvulsive therapy, but contemporary treatment is still mainly medication, supplemented by psychotherapy. It should be noted that depressed patients often have negative and pessimistic thoughts, and in severe cases, they are light-hearted and anorexic, so physicians should be highly alert and warn their families to take precautions. Conditions permitting, it is best to be hospitalized, electroconvulsive therapy has immediate and life-saving effects, and should be used decisively and promptly. Many types of antidepressants and psychotherapy are available to treat depression. For some patients, antidepressants are more effective; for others, psychotherapy is more effective; and for most patients, both together may be most effective. Especially for patients with severe depression, medications can be used to reduce depressive symptoms relatively quickly, while psychotherapy teaches patients how to reduce their depressive symptoms and how to live with those problems that often trigger depressive symptoms. The National Institute of Mental Health has proposed the following seven self-healing measures for depressed patients: 1. Never set goals for yourself that are difficult to achieve, correctly understand your current situation, face your condition, stop holding a large number of positions, and don’t take a big responsibility for many things. 2, you can divide a large and complicated work into a number of small parts, according to the priorities, do what you can do, do not “show off”, so as not to complete the work and discouragement. 3, try to contact and interact with people more, do not come alone. 4, try to participate in more activities, try to do some light physical exercise, watch movies, television or listen to music. You can participate in different forms and contents of social activities, such as lectures, visits, visits, etc., but not too much. 5.Don’t be impatient, don’t be anxious about your illness, it takes time to cure. 6.Patients should not make major decisions, such as changing jobs, getting married or divorced, without discussing with someone who knows their actual situation very well. 7.It is good to write out their feelings, then analyze and recognize it, which are negative and belong to the manifestation of depression, and then find a way to get rid of it.
