Gallstones belong to the categories of “coercive pain” and “jaundice” in Chinese medicine. Si-Wei-San plus Yu-Jin can treat gallstones caused by Liver-Qi stagnation, Liver-Spleen disharmony, and it is recommended to consult a doctor first.
Gallstones are usually caused by Liver-Qi stagnation, Liver-Stomach disharmony and Liver-Yin insufficiency, and are usually characterized by colicky pain in the right upper abdomen, accompanied by nausea and vomiting.
Si Reverse San has the efficacy of dispersing the liver and regulating the spleen, penetrating the evil and relieving depression, and is often used in the treatment of cold limbs caused by yang-qi depression and syncope, abdominal pain, or discharge of heavy weight under the abdomen; it can also be used in the treatment of distention and stuffiness in the abdomen and ribs, and pain in the epigastric region (stomach and abdomen) caused by the disharmony between the liver and the spleen.
Adverse effects and contraindications of this formula are not known. It should be used with caution in cases of Liver-Yin deficiency and dystocia. Caution should be exercised if the limbs are not warm due to cold syncope. Use with caution in pregnant women.
Yu Jin is pungent, bitter, cold in nature, and belongs to the liver, heart and lung meridians, with the effects of activating blood circulation to relieve pain, clearing the heart and cooling the blood, promoting circulation of qi and relieving depression, inducing diuresis and relieving yellowness (dredging the biliary tract of evil qi and eliminating jaundice). It is used in treating thoracic and hypochondriacal pain, chest paralysis (stuffy pain in the chest), cardiac pain, menstrual pain with menstrual occlusion, heat illness and dizziness, and jaundice with urinary and reddish coloration.
This product should be used with caution in pregnant women, and should not be used with cloves and mother cloves.
Si Reverse San plus Yu Jin can be used to treat the above symptoms caused by liver-qi stagnation, liver-spleen disharmony, but gallstones should be treated by a professional doctor in a timely manner after completing the relevant examinations, and should not be treated by self medication.
