What do contractions feel like in late pregnancy?

Under normal circumstances, a pregnant woman can feel a paroxysmal tightening sensation in the lower abdomen from 14 weeks of pregnancy. From 28 weeks of pregnancy, pregnant women can have pseudo contractions, and with the approach of labor, pregnant women can have labor contractions, which mainly manifest as the feeling of abdominal pain. Due to the different classifications of contractions, their performance is also different, as follows: 1. Contractions in labor: contractions in labor are characterized by weak to strong intensity, increasingly dense frequency, growing duration, regularity, etc. The general pain is often in the waist and abdomen, and the whole abdomen has a feeling of abdominal distension or abdominal pain. In the early stage, only the lower abdomen feels tight, near the time of delivery the pain increases, there will be abdominal distension, falling sensation; 2, pseudo contractions: pseudo contractions are irregular in time, inconsistent in frequency, irregular intervals, intensity is not enhanced, etc.. This condition often appears at night and disappears in the morning. If a pregnant woman maintains the same posture for a long time, she will feel a hard feeling in her abdomen, which will be relieved or disappear after rest. Therefore, if there is regular and frequent abdominal pain in late pregnancy, which cannot be relieved by rest, it is a regular contraction, which may indicate the entry into labor and the need to go to the hospital in time for delivery.
