What to do about infant apnea

When an infant develops apnea, basic life support, advanced life support, and comprehensive post-cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) treatment should be given promptly.
1. Basic life support: perform a series of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) steps such as chest compressions, opening the airway and establishing breathing.
2. Advanced life support: timely transfer to hospitals with conditions, establish advanced airway ventilation, supply oxygen before the recovery of spontaneous circulation, establish and maintain the infusion pathway, and give emergency drugs such as epinephrine according to the actual situation.
3. Comprehensive treatment after cardiopulmonary resuscitation: monitor and protect the heart, liver, kidney and lungs, etc., and improve the necessary post-resuscitation rehabilitation training.
Resuscitation actions must be initiated immediately in infants with apnea to save lives and improve quality of life.
