Talking again about the merits and demerits of IUDs (I)

The other day to help a 50-year-old menopausal woman to remove the ring, when I want to put the round 10-cent coin-sized copper ring still off, she said: “Give me a souvenir it.” Asked about this matter by her explanation to the year she especially love to pregnant, but no conditions to have children, just in time for the unit of family planning office comrades to press, after several times to avoid the ring, but since the ring with the smooth passage of the childbearing age, there is no major discomfort, so that menopause 5 years, after being reminded to think about taking the ring. This reminds me of Mo Yan’s novel “Frog”. The novel depicts the story of what happened under China’s hard-line family planning policy 20 or 30 years ago, and more or less touches on the issue of human rights. Nowadays, of course, there are some places where people come by the truckload for IUDs or sterilization, but the more common trend is for couples to choose their own form of contraception and birth control. So to this day, is the IUD more of a credit than a fault, or is it more of a fault than a credit. Putting aside the impact of high pressure policies, the IUD has been the world’s contraceptive of choice since its invention because of its excellent contraceptive efficacy and the ability to meet repeat fertility requirements at any time. Of course, due to policy issues, China has the highest IUD use rate in the world, at nearly half. For this reason, Big Brother USA says in its classic book “Williams Gynecology” that “because of the initial cost, IUDs are used by only 10% of women in the United States, far less than the 15% recommended by the WHO and even less than in China, as a long-lasting, effective, and reversible method of contraception. “. Its merits and demerits are evident from this. The IUD is defined as the top contraceptive method, alongside sterilization. This is because it has a very high contraceptive effectiveness. If 100 women use a method of contraception, it is considered the top method if the number of pregnancies in a year is less than 2. The number of pregnancies is between 3 and 9, which is the second level, including the oral contraceptive pill mentioned earlier. If the number of pregnancies is 10-30, it’s considered a level 3, and the common ones are the condom and the safe period contraception. To the fourth level is not to say that is the worst, here the old American will be spermicide counted in it. So a small intrauterine device to ascend to the throne is not unexpected ah? So after reading the above story and saying, dear women, are you tempted to try an IUD? Next time I will tell you who is suitable to put the IUD and when is the right time to put the IUD.
