Patients with 600-degree myopia can usually jump rope.
With 600-degree myopia, the risk of myopia retinopathy is elevated, which is usually accompanied by a lengthening of the eye axis, and is characterized by atrophy of the retina on the temporal side of the optic disc, peripheral retinal degeneration, and the formation of dry eyeholes.
Patients with 600-degree myopia can jump rope in the absence of fundus complications. However, if there are high myopia fundus complications, jumping rope may lead to fundus complications aggravation and thus vision loss.
It is recommended that patients with 600-degree myopia go to the ophthalmology department of a hospital for an examination, so that the doctor can have a detailed understanding of the current situation and make recommendations on the patient’s physical exercise program.
