HPV66 can be transmitted through sexual intercourse, so if a patient has HPV66 infection, it is recommended that the patient use condoms for contraception during intercourse. It is important to use condoms from the beginning to the end of intercourse. If you don’t use condoms, or if they are broken or fall off, you may pass the infection to your partner through sexual intercourse. Even if a man has an infection, it is difficult to detect it because men are usually tested for HPV by taking the discharge from the foreskin, which is normally very small and therefore difficult to detect. It is also very difficult to detect through blood tests because it is usually limited to localized infections, so it is recommended that patients must take precautions.
