How long is it normal for a baby to sleep a day for more than a month

The normal sleep time for a baby over a month old is about 16-18 hours or more per day, depending on the individual. A baby who is just over a month old is pretty much just sleeping and eating milk every day. Since the baby is full term, the sleep time is reduced compared to a newborn baby, but it is still generally kept at more than 16-18 hours of sleep, the exact time varies according to individual differences. Some babies do not sleep as much as they should, but as long as they are eating and feeling normal, not crying for a long time, and gaining the same weight as babies of the same age, it is normal and parents need not worry too much. Some babies only sleep for about 10 hours a day, and are prone to waking up and crying during sleep, so parents need to be alert to whether their baby is deficient in calcium. During the baby’s sleep, parents need to pay attention to regular observation, such as whether the baby is covered, whether there are foreign objects blocking the airway, etc. When the baby wakes up and is in good spirits, parents should actively interact with the baby to promote its development.
