Ovarian cysts can be detected by cervical screening

Cervical screening does not detect the presence of ovarian cysts. Cervical screening refers to screening for cervical surface epithelial lesions. Because the cervix is located in the vagina, cervical screening takes HPV and TCT tests from the surface of the cervix, which are used to screen for cervical surface epithelial lesions and HPV infection. The ovaries are located in the pelvic cavity, and the cervix are two completely non-adjacent organs that are very far away, so cervical screening cannot detect the presence of ovarian cysts. The presence of cysts and the presence of abnormalities in the uterus and ovaries require a pelvic ultrasound. Therefore, it is recommended to do both cervical screening and pelvic gynecological ultrasound.
