Intravenous fluid administration

Intravenous infusion operation mainly consists of six steps: exhausting, tying tourniquet, sterilizing, puncturing, loosening tourniquet and fixing. 1. Exhaustion: Exhaust the air inside the infusion tube, the medicine flows out from the needle along the infusion tube, and then the regulator can be closed tightly, and the exhaustion is successful. 2. Tie a tourniquet: fully expose the blood collection site, place the limb properly, tie a tourniquet at the proximal end of the blood collection site, which is conducive to the filling of the puncture vein and facilitates puncture. 3. Disinfection: Take the puncture site as the center and disinfect the area with a diameter of 15cm for 2~3 times. 4. Puncture: puncture the vein at 60° between the needle and the skin, and enter the needle a little faster to reduce the patient’s pain. Stop puncturing after seeing blood return. 5. Release tourniquet: Release the tourniquet in time after successful puncture. 6. Fixation: Fix the puncture needle with adhesive tape to prevent it from slipping off. If there is any discomfort during intravenous infusion, you should find a doctor and treat it in time to avoid the condition from developing.
