Coronary angiography

Coronary angiography is currently the “gold standard” for the clinical diagnosis of coronary artery disease, and it is one of the most accurate and comprehensive methods for the diagnosis of coronary artery disease. Because of the accurate and comprehensive information, coronary angiography is regarded clinically as the “gold standard” for the diagnosis of coronary heart disease, and it can also be used for interventional treatment of severe stenosis of coronary arteries. Coronary angiography can provide basic information about the coronary arteries, such as which branch or branches have stenotic lesions and the degree of stenosis, the presence of calcification, thrombosis, etc. This is an important guide for the selection of interventional devices and methods, and even for improving the success rate of surgery. On the other hand, compared to other non-invasive tests, this is an invasive test, which requires the insertion of a catheter into the body and may cause damage at the puncture site or even throughout the body. Although scientifically there is no guarantee that serious complications will not occur 100% of the time, the percentage of occurrence is really low, less than 1 in 1000. Coronary angiography is currently the clinical “gold standard” for the diagnosis of coronary artery disease, and is both a diagnostic and a therapeutic tool.
