Pre-operative examination for myopia surgery

What do I need to pay attention to for myopia surgery? If you are interested in surgery, you should first go to the hospital for a detailed pre-operative examination. After the examination, the doctor will combine your eye examination data to assess the efficacy of the surgery and then decide whether to do laser correction surgery. So what are the tests needed for myopia surgery? 1. Visual acuity measurement: bare eye vision, corrected visual acuity with lenses. 2.IOP test: measure the internal pressure of the eye to exclude abnormal eye pressure. 3.Eye axis examination: the anterior and posterior length of the eye can be measured, which can determine the type of myopia. 4.Corneal topography: check the refractive state of the corneal surface. 5.Dilated pupil optometry: more accurate examination of the refractive state of the eye, i.e. myopia and astigmatism. 6.Comprehensive optometry: comprehensive analysis of the refractive function of the eye and prediction of postoperative visual acuity. 7.Corneal thickness measurement: measure the corneal thickness in the center and peripheral area of the cornea, for the thickness is too low to give to exclude. 8.Obvious optometry: measure the degree of difference in polarization between the examined eye and the ortho-optic eye. 9.External eye examination: check eyelid disease, strabismus, eye movement disorder. 10.Slit lamp examination: detailed examination of conjunctiva, cornea, crystal, anterior chamber and vitreous humor to exclude possible eye diseases, including conjunctivitis, keratitis, glaucoma, cataract, vitreous clouding, etc. 11.Tear secretion test: check for lesions due to excessive tear secretion. 12.Tear film rupture time test: It can correctly analyze the function of tear secretion and distribution, exclude dry eye and prevent dry eye from occurring after surgery. 13.Fundus examination after dilated pupil: detailed understanding of the fundus, if the fundus is bad, treatment is needed or corneal surgery cannot be chosen. 14.Orbscan II preoptic segment analysis: analyze the preoptic segment, including the normal structural state of the cornea, and exclude corneal lesions and other structural abnormalities. 15.Wavefront aberration: It can accurately examine the eye in addition to low order aberrations such as myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism, etc. It can also analyze the size and type of aberrations and collect high order aberration data as the basis for diagnosis and surgery.
