At 30 weeks of pregnancy, the fetus has basically completed its development and may be in the mother’s uterus in cephalic, breech, transverse and other common positions. 1, cephalic: the fetus sits in the uterus with its head pointing downward and its buttocks pointing upward, and most of them are in the cephalic position from the 28th week of pregnancy to the time of delivery, which is generally the position of a normal delivery, and most of them are in the cephalic position. 2, breech: the fetus is in a position where the buttocks are pointing downward and the head is pointing upward, which is usually difficult to deliver normally, and cesarean sections are required. This position is usually difficult for normal labor and requires cesarean section. If you are a parturient woman, simple breech position, fetal weight is less than 3500g, there is also the possibility of normal delivery; 3, transverse position: fetal shoulders down, head and buttocks to the sides, horizontal in the uterus, can not be normal delivery, the need for cesarean section. Breech position and transverse position for fetal malposition, if 32 weeks pregnant fetal position is still incorrect, need to carry out fetal position correction. Generally, the knee-chest lying position is chosen to correct the fetal position, and if the correction is ineffective, then the fetal position needs to be corrected by manipulation. In more than half of the cases, the fetal position can be converted to the cephalic position for normal trial of labor and normal delivery. In a few cases, the fetus will remain in the breech or even transverse position, which usually requires a cesarean section under the supervision of a doctor. In addition, fetal malposition is mostly caused by fetal malformation, amniotic fluid abnormality, rapid or slow fetal growth, short umbilical cord, uterine malformation, placental abnormality, pelvic stenosis and multiple births. Pregnant women are advised to undergo regular obstetric checkups to know the health status of the fetus, and to engage in a moderate amount of activities every day to help the fetus to be repositioned.
