The better combination of Cistanchis for women is not clear in clinic, and it is generally necessary to make relevant combinations according to the specific diseases. Women can take Cistanchis with different herbs to treat diseases. For example, Cistanchis can be used with Angelica sinensis, He Shou Wu and honey to treat kidney deficiency and intestinal dryness in the elderly, postpartum blood deficiency, and constipation after illness; and with Radix Rehmanniae Praeparata, Fructus Schisandrae Chinensis and Semen Cuscutae for treating impotence and infertility.
