As we all know, there is free screening for two cancers in China, which is a public service activity to care for women’s health. The two cancers refer to breast cancer and cervical cancer, of which cervical cancer is one of the most common gynecological malignancies, and the most effective and direct international screening tool for cervical cancer is cervical TCT. Cervical thin layer cytology (TCT) is a cytological examination of the cervix. During the gynecological examination, the doctor opens the vagina with a speculum, exposes the cervix, and collects cell samples from the cervix with a special sampler, which is placed in a vial with preserved fluid and sent to the laboratory for cytological classification and diagnosis. The examination of cervical cells allows early screening for precancerous lesions of the cervix and cervical cancer. If the TCT results show lesions, colposcopy and pathological diagnosis are usually continued, and if the TCT shows no problems, regular checkups should be noted. In conclusion, cervical fluid-based thin-layer cytology (TCT) is the most advanced and accurate screening technique for cervical cancer internationally. If the test can be performed at the same time as HPV-DNA, which screens the cervix for unmanned papilloma virus infection, the screening of cervical lesions will become more accurate.
