“Polycystic” refers to polycystic ovary syndrome in modern medicine, which can be treated with Chinese medicine.
Although there is no such disease name in Chinese medicine, according to the clinical characteristics and performance, it can be categorized as “late menstruation”, “menorrhagia”, “infertility”, “amenorrhea”, “obstruction in the abdomen (lumps in the lower abdomen of women)”, “polycystic ovary syndrome” and “polycystic ovary syndrome”. Clinical diagnosis is divided into Kidney Deficiency, Spleen Deficiency with Phlegm and Dampness (the function of the spleen is weak, resulting in phlegm and dampness not being able to be removed), Qi Stagnation with Blood Stasis (blood stasis due to the lack of smooth flow of qi), and Liver Depression with Fire (the lack of smooth flow of qi in the liver resulting in the production of fire and heat).
Kidney deficiency can be categorized into kidney yin deficiency and kidney yang deficiency. Kidney yin deficiency can be treated with Zuo Gui Wan (左归丸) to remove Chuan Niuhui (川牛膝) with additional subtraction, while kidney yang deficiency can be treated with Right Angelica Pill (右归丸) to remove cinnamon, and add tonic acid and Epimedium to increase or decrease the quantity. Spleen deficiency with phlegm-dampness can be treated with Cangshui Phlegm-guiding Pill. For Qi stagnation and blood stasis, add and subtract Diaphragm Downward Expelling Blood Stasis Tang. Liver stagnation and fire can be treated with gardenia and prophylactic powder with addition or subtraction.
