What is neurorehabilitation

Neurological rehabilitation refers to the evaluation and treatment of motor and sensory dysfunction due to neurological lesions or injuries. Physical, occupational, and speech therapy are generally used.
1. Physical therapy: using sound, light, cold, heat, electricity, force and other physical methods of treatment, for the body’s local or systemic dysfunction, non-pharmacological treatment to restore the body’s functions, such as light therapy, ice, heat, electrical stimulation, pressure therapy and so on.
2. Occupational therapy: Purposeful selection of sports, work and other activities, so that the patient in the work of physical exercise, to promote the recovery of the patient’s physical and mental state and other aspects.
3. Speech therapy: treatment and correction of various types of speech disorders, stuttering and rehabilitation of some aphasic patients. The methods of speech therapy include the practice of articulation organs, monotone stimulation and so on.
