Height and weight standards for 5.5-month-old babies

The standard of height and weight of 5 and a half month old babies need to be divided into male and female, male babies are 59.7~73.9cm in height and 5.66~11.15kg in weight, female babies are 58.6~72.1cm in height and 5.33~10.38kg in weight.
Each baby’s height and weight are affected by both congenital and acquired factors, and the rate of increase in height and weight varies.
Innate factors mainly include intrauterine nutritional status and genetic background, i.e. parents’ height.
Acquired factors, mainly including late nutrition, feeding style, sleep state influence, exercise, etc. Although there will be differences between individuals, but within the standard range there is no need to worry too much.
If the baby’s height and weight are different from the standard, we should be vigilant in time, and we suggest that parents take their babies to the hospital as soon as possible to do relevant examinations to understand the reasons.
